I have to say that in all my travels in Mexico over the last 35 years, the percentage of people pulled over for apparent traffic infractions has been 90+% Mexicans, <10% gabachos/gringos, or whatever you want to call them. I always check the plates of a vehicle pulled over.

This coincides almost exactly with my observed percentage of people violating the law by nationality.

Where the percentages become out of whack are between Ensenada and TJ, where mordida on gringos becomes so prevalent.

BTW, IMO far and away the worst violators of traffic laws are Mexican-Americans, especially those from California who seem to feel a birthright to violate the laws of their ancestors country. I have no idea why; it's just what I have observed.

Larry, I would prefer to rent my home to 10 Mex Americans accompanied by 10 warthogs, than to rent to you and your inbred family, where the family tree doesn't fork and the gene pool is dangerous to wade in.

Oh come now. I am an American married to a Mexican. God love him anyway, but my husband is without a doubt, the worst driver I have ever had the displeasure of riding with. The tips of my fingernails are permanently embedded in the dashboard. I am however, the second worst driver in history. He gets pulled over several times per week and he DOES get tickets, and he Does have to pay them. Im sick of hearing how its only mexicans that dont have to pay. I almost always get a warning. He does not. If you want to drive like a maniac and break the driving laws, you are gonna get a ticket. Period. Doesnt matter what nationality you are. If you dont want a ticket, dont drive like an idiot. But please people, stop with this whole mexican/american thing.
