we live directly above the home under discussion. last evening a large number of young men arrived at the house with luggage and tools and other supplies. The house is huge but is presently not complete and unoccupied. The Policia responded to a call from the neighbors and confirmed these visitors have full "permiso" from an owner to be in the home and are there to do some cleanup and improvements. They determined no one was threatened and no one is in any danger from these visitors.
amazing how unsubstantiated rumors fly across this town and board.

Partimer- amigo you are quick with accusations but short on facts. To wit, the information I posted this morning came directly from the source you suggest we contact. The police were there, they found no basis for asking the visitors to leave. If the facts you purport ( handguns, forced entry, etc., etc.) had actually occurred do you think the police would allow them to remain in the property as you confirm? The visitors are there now working on the property.
Is everyone under 30 in a Sinaloa vehicle involved in drugs or misdeeds??? perhaps not.
Note: I use my real name as I don't post lies or indulge in fantasy.

Jes, Thanks for the update.
PARTIMER: no name, no credibility
I hope that it is a good assumption that no one who reads this forum would believe something like this without a better source.

As I remember Part Timer posted a lot in the past. He-she emailed me once apologizing for something. That was in the good old days when we could post our email address.

Last time I drove by this house it had all the ownership documents on the front wall under glass.
Why - these people threatened to take this house by force. Docs were posted so the authorities can review ownership docs anytime if a question comes up and the owners are in the states.

In the interest of all facts we have now learned that the ownership of the subject property is in legal dispute. So the visitors, feeling they have the rights of ownership, did enter in an unfriendly manner and tried to intimidate the guard ( working for the absentee American owners) who of course they feel is there improperly. No guns were observed and the police did respond. They were allowed to stay as there is no clear answer to rightful ownership. I am further advised that their presence is no threat to the community (my genuine concern as we are 100 yards away) and that the ownership dispute will work its way to some legal resolution.
As Joe Friday used to say: just the facts.

I thought the property has been in dispute for quite some time with twin brothers, both dentists and the Mother of the original owner?

Hey PARTIMER don't be so hard on Jes, they only posted what they saw, they were here to witness some activity and you were not. Your information is coming from someone else, please ease up a bit, you're not representing your "dear friend" very well...

I'll second that. Jes was reporting what he found out this morning and then other reports came in and he posted the new information.
Partimer you are too quick to rush to judgement unless you are here and involved in the process.

first- my only interest here is to make known what really happened yesterday. i apoligize to jes. my friends are loosing this house by force. their legal papers should still be stapled to the front of the house, in their name.
I really am telling the truth and want people of san carlos to know what happened. Sorry that I was abusive in the process.

What is happening with this property should be a warning. Get a title search. I'm sure like everywhere, you can do that here in Mexico.

Sounds like we are all coming to a general agreement of the events. My main issue is for the safety of my family and neighbors and want to again stress that no one actually present last evening (and I have today spoken personally with all involved parties) has reported any guns were used or even seen.
It is unfortunate that there can be a dispute over property ownership but we who live near the site can rest well knowing that we have workers present- not drug dealers brandishing firearms.
Outa here for now
